Default HELP..car just back from dealer/problems

I just had my transmission replaced under warranty. The dealer agreed to install my jwt/clutch flywheel combo while the tranny was out, for free. I go to pick it up today; they're still working on it, said it won't start. They trace the problem back to the crank sensor. They said something about the gap needing adjusting???? WTH? So, they 'adjust' it, still won't work. They end up supposedly replacing the sensor, which I have yet to check and verify.

The car now takes 5-6 seconds of continuous cranking before it starts. VDC OFF light remains lit constantly. SPIN light stays on. SES light is on. Car has considerably less power.

What the hell guys? Is my car in safe mode? Do I need to try to reset my ECU? Could they have damaged my crank sensor wire? My car ran perfectly before this. I had to have something to drive tomorrow so I went ahead and drove the car home for now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

p.s, just so you know, I had to go show the tech how to align the aftermarket clutch and flywheel together. He looked at it for over an hour, so my confidence in this tech is minimal.

Anyone else care to chime in? Should I let the dealer look at it more or have they done enough damage?

ask to have their best mechanic look at it, and ask to have him do all your work, exclusively.

Just found out that no instructions were in the box SGP shipped...and the tech just guessed which way it went on.

They said that they were just going to pull the tranny again and put in the stock fly and a new OEM clutch, for free. They would not try to re-install the aftermarket parts I gave them without charging me labor, since warranty wouldn't cover them pulling the tranny a second time to fix aftermarket parts....understandable. I told them I'd pay the labor to do it, minus the dealers cost of a new Nissan clutch that came along with the new tranny under the warranty, since I wouldn't be using the stock clutch that came with the new tranny. I'm waiting to hear a definite answer as to what they're going to do.

+1 Ask for their "Master Mechanic".

He's the only guy that touches my car!
