Default rubbing issue?

need advise guys and gals. I'ved bought the 1/4 inch plenum spacer and since i have greddy strut bar and use the strut bar spacer, i have rubbing issue with the strut bar and the hood. now when i took the spacers out i have maybe 1/16 inch space between the strutbar and the plenum. do you guys think that there's gonna be a rubbing issue?

should be enough. you'll know soon enough. usually, if you can slide piece of paper btwn them without resistance, you're ok. why not use the stock strut bar? its adjustable.

Not true. I can definitely slide paper under mine and it still rubs when the engine vibrates. The only way to really find out is to take it out for a drive and listen. Then if it rubs you can take it off and grind the upper manifold or bottom of the strut bar or you can try and lessen the engine movement with a dampener.

true, it does depend on how much your engine moves. i like the stock strut bar cuz you can fine tune the height. another option would be to add washers as needed to get the clearance you need.

thanks for the advise. i might just stop by pepboys and buy some washer to increase the clearance. i bought the strut bar months before i purchase the spacer and i don't have the OEM strut bar anymore.
