I hope it goes well, but the dealer probably won't have the capability to do any sort of built up engine, and they most likely won't wanna play ball with putting in the 05 track engine because no one knows if it will work and could end up costing them even more money to try to make it work, give up, and put a 03-04 engine in. This is especially true since the dealer usually has their hands tied behind their backs as far as experimenting. They gotta do stuff by the books so there's no potential for lawsuits because they didn't follow standard procedure.
my 2 cents. Good luck with it all though. If anything, just getting a new regular engine will be nice - you regain all your worn miles you've used on it
ya, you're prolly right, but my dealer claims to be a nismo dealer, so i'm trying to push the envelope. the mechanic actually told me he has never installd the parts i'm requesting, so maybe its best just to drop in a new engine. i'll keep you guys posted for future reference.
Beware the 03 gearbox bell housing may not mate up to an 05 engine block, I was after a 05 gearbox for my 03 car this is the info I had from Jason from Performance Nissan.
