Default About to install UR Crank Pulley, reset ecu?

In the UR manual it says results won't be seen until the ECU resets in 5-7 days. Can i just disconnect the battery for 12 hours and do the same thing? DO i have to wait 5-7 days to notice HP increase or is that BS?

I'm wondering why you would even need to reset the ECU. I can see the ECU needing to be reset after mods that affect fuel, air, exhaust flow or timing but I can't see where the ECU would have anything to do with a change such as the crank pulley.

It's like changing your clutch out for a lightweight one, the performance gain should be immediate since all you're doing is freeing up HP to the wheels. Doesn't that make sense?

In the manual for the Pulley, it says :
The Maximum HP gains from the pulley/s can be expected within 5-7 days of driving, once the computer has recalibrated fully and taken advantage of the engines lighter rotational weight.

I wasn't sure if i could do it the easy way or had to wait for it. Or, if it was just a line of BS.

I never reset my ecu for any of my mods, including my pulley, so I would say no, dont worry about it. After I put my pulley on I leaned waaayyyy out, I know it doesnt make sense but MY car with MY mods ran way lean after I put the cp in for some reason.....

A question +/- on topic- I have a KJR lightweight crank pulley on order; it is not undersized. Are UR's non-crank pulleys, i.e. water pump and a/c undersize or OEM? If these secondary pulleys are OEM size, and just lightweight, will installing them result in additional gains? Will UR sell the secondary pulleys separately? Anyone have experience w/ this? Thanks.

There are no additional gains with the other pulleys. The only gains are seen from the crank pulley.
