My AT is shifting oddly lately. Sometimes third gear hangs on a little longer than usual. Not all the time. There doesn't seem to be a particular pattern that is emerging. It's random. I have been tooling around town in manual mode more lately. Maybe the ECU is adjusting? Has anybody "dumped" their auto tranny yet, and if so, what were the specifics? BTW, I'm at less than 7k on the odo so I'm a little worried at this early issue.

 

I have seen very few instances of blown 5ATs. I've been watching, too, because I have one sitting in my garage for sale!

 

Mine is crying... Nitrous was not its friend (even properly setup)

I NEED to get the VB, and torque converter ASAP.

Kpierson... how much for the tranny, how many miles, where's it from.

Its got 7500 miles on it. Its complete with the torque converter. It came from an 03 G35 sedan that was totaled. I bought the VQ35 and the 5at as a package from a somewhat local guy last summer. I have a 6mt so its just been sitting in my garage collecing dust. At this point I would be satisfed getting $1000 plus shipping for it, just to free up some space for other spare parts...

 

I always have one funny question in my mind....

Can we replace a manual tranny into a 5AT 350Z??

if its possible, how much it will cost??
