KJR pulley installed-first impressions
All I can tell you is it's hard, very hard. If you have a MT, you have to have it in 6th gear and it helps to have somebody stand on the brakes. If you have an AT, from what I recall reading, your best bet is to try the "crank the engine" trick.
+1 on the VERY hard. We ended up wrapping plastic-coated aircraft cable 3x around the pulley, then wrapping the tail of the cable around the sway bar 2/3x, just to keep the crank from turning. As i recall, it's a right-hand bolt. We used a 2 foot breaker bar from underneath, with the car on a lift. It was a bastard, but the bolt finally broke loose.
Another thing - you can't pop it loose by just pulling on the breaker bar. You'll need a couple of sharp jerks to get it to come loose. Slow steady pressure just causes it to slowly turn over the engine/transmission/wheels.
Yep. An impact wrench would be ideal, if you could get it in there. We tried, but couldn't find room, even w/ the fans removed.

protocav installed mine in his garage without removing the fan. he said it wasn't necessary. he did remove the top engine cover and strut bar, tho. install time for him: about an hour.
