You can see the total gain (from two different dyno tune one after the other).... I got somewhere like 50rwKW or so with proper dyno tuning... which is around 68rwHP...

Z350Lover...damn bro those are some pretty nice gains!!! I hope to see something like that, which would be really sweet.

I don't know if anyone has tried the new Kinetix Intake Manifold with some cams yet but I'm thinking that these three combined, Kinetix Int. Man, Performance cams, and a 7200 redline are going to make the Z a beast, especially after the tuning process.

"they are almost twice as much seat pressure."..........so the cam lobes wear at 4x the normal rate.......not sure this is such a great deal for the street. Nismo Valve Springs

Where are you getting everything installed? What is the estimated price? I live in L.A. and would love to find a good, inexpensive shop that does cams and springs.

Here is a base dyno that I had run today. I actually expected some better numbers maybe 235hp or so, then again, with some AF adjustment I think I can get in the low to mid 30's. It was also a pretty warm day and intake temp was about 84-85, with the fan running.

I dropped off the Z today as well. So if all goes to plan I should have it back late next week, but we'll see how that goes.

Skrill I live down near Temecula, which isn't too far from LA. It's going to be hard to find a shop that is inexpensive especially to install cams, the price of labor will cost you around the price for parts...so you're looking at $1200+ easy.

I've been trying to post these pics but I can't seem to reduce the image enough. When I do, it comes out really small and non legible...I'll keep trying though.

Anyways I dynoed 227hp 211tq.

Default Update!!!

Well I've had this thing on my mind the last week, can sorta think MIAPLAYA for that one about changing the entire valve train since I'm getting the cams installed either way. So today I decided and I ordered the Ferrera 1MM valve kit for the VQ35.

I was actually saving the $$ for the 3.9 gears with a new LSD (not sure which yet) but I figured that if I were to get these installed at a later date I would pay twice as much $$$$ for labor. So anyways work on the Z is on hold until these come in on Thur of next week.

hey dch,
you do understand that the heads need to be taken off, and the valve ports need to be enlarged and re-seated, right. (with the 1mm bigger valves, of course). this goes far beyond the regular cam install.

if you did, i apologize for the insult.

Yep I knew that one

An update....well nothing has been installed yet sorry about that. The reason is due to me waiting on some other parts to arrive also. Since I'm having the entire valvetrain+cams replaced, I'm thinking might as well build the bottom end.

However, if I'm going to build the engine I think I will be going FI. Not 100% sure which kit yet, but it's either an APS TT or Turbonetics ST with an upgraded turbo....but this whole process might take a few months.

LOL that is too funny...

I figured I wouldn't get the HP figures the air freshner & bulbs stated unless I built the engine also

Wish I can say that I was almost done, but not quite. I have just about all the engine internals, with the exception of the rod bearnings, and only the bottom end is awaiting cryo treatment. Other than that the only thing I'm waiting on is the turbo kit+guages, which I should hopefully have in about a month.
