Default A/f Ratio guages and sensors

I am thinking about getting an A/F Guage And wondering if it can be tapped into the factory o2 sensorsor does it need its own o2 sensors, and if it needs its own sensors do i need to install a new or bung or replace the stock with this one?

Not to jack you r thread or anything but I had a similar question. For the newer version of the VQ with wideband o2 sensors from the factory can you tap into them with a wideband gauge or do you still need another sensor and a bung welded in.

It is NEVER the recommended thing to tap the stock sensor. If you want a wideband most kits come with a new Bosch wideband O2. Just need to weld in the supplied bung and install the sensor and wiring..For a narrow band you can tap into the sensor if you want although most companies offer a new narrwoband sensor for a cost. A narrow band is just not really worth it IMHO.

The guys at a local tuning shop wired a Defi a/f gauge to the stock sensor. It takes a while of driving for it to start working (like 2-3 minutes) - I guess its warming up. It will work, although some here question whether it is "worth" it or not. But to answer your specific question, yes, it can be tapped into the factory 02 sensor.

OK so 90% of the kits out there you need to weld on a new bung.
Could you replace the stock o2 with the supplied o2 and run it like that or is that bad?
NOt familliar with the o2 sensor and guages stuff.

i would think it would make your ecu go crazy.
like mia says, narrowband is worthless on our cars. go wideband, and get a bung.
