Default who would win? & what would it take?

What would it take for a Z to beat a 06 supercharged vette or a 10sec ruststang?

1) Strip everything off your car inside and out that saves weight.
2) Replace all of your doors, fenders, hatch, hood (all body parts) with amuse dry carbon fiber.
3) Get a fully built motor
4) Cryo freeze all the parts
5) Put a twin turbo kit on it and boost it like nuts.
6) Put all the bolt ons and stuff as you can.

Low-Compression AEBS 4.3L Stroker kit - $8000
Custom Turbo Setup - $12,000
That's $20,000 off the bat, and you may have chance

stroker kit is a LOT more expensive than 8000 for the parts for the kit.

There's the labor which is a lot

there's the EMS you'll need for it

It isn't quite a new drop in engine part

SGP longblock+Nismo crankshaft+full custom TT set-up and all the proper fuel delivery systems and ECU tuning that goes with it to run 20-25lbs boost. Thermal protection for engine bay lines and wiring. Thermal coating on turbos and engine piping. High volume oil pan, Radiator upgrade, external oil cooler, upgraded hoses and clamps everywhere, reinforced driveshaft, upgraded clutch, upgraded rear diff and diff housing, custom bodywork to house 275 front and 335 rear tires, wheels to mount the tires, full suspension upgrade, full 4-wheel brake upgrade, weight redistribution including CF hood, mounting battery in trunk, hi flow exhaust system.

This should be able to take a supercharged '06 Vette, if you can control the vehicle. Basically, if you want to take a supercharged Vette, start with a different car, because other than the interior, the roof, and the headlights, the steering mechanism and windshield washer fluid, the entire car will be something other than a Z.

Trying to help:

At some point you reach a problem where more power will just spin the rear tires.

You really need to consider if you are willing to have a Z with huge rear drag tires.

Take a good look at the "8 second" -Z-......is that something you would want? (Could it even be driven as a daily driver?)
