I had owned a 2004 G35 coupe 6 Spd. I have driven numerous Z's. And now I own an FX45 V8. I had looked in to the bay and had wonder if this v8 motor would drop easily in to a Z. If it's possible, wonder if it will need custom mounts. And custom ECU possibly. And tranny. Oh, the tranny. Wonder if the 6spd can mount up with custom brackets. I'm just wondering and if anyone out there have any ideas and/or thought about this and/or is doing this now, please write back with some feedback. Thanks fellow Z members!

 

The v8 has been done by TopSecret Japan into a G35 with twin turbo's. However, no real specifics on engine mounts, etc have really been mentioned.

i think thats based on nissan v8 engine used in infinity fx45s and high end sedans
