Default Websites for info on tuning/wideband etc?

a newbie when it comes to the lingo and theory/science behind the tuning aspect, what is a good source (preferably z related) that breaks down the terms and processes? i see a lot of posts dealing with wideband O2 sensors/monitors, zeitronix this, aem UEGO that- what are the differences? what exactly can you do by adjusting these levels and fuel curves, etc? is this something that (with the proper manuals/instructions) a DIY can do without taking it to a shop for their labor? forgive my ignorance, i just keep seeing these terms and posts and am [still] in left field. it seems to me like properly tuning a vehicle is one of those processes that you must really know your shtuff in order to do it correctly, and those that can do it exceptionally well definitely get compensated exceptionally well. being a board-lurker for years now i have seen more than enough posts dealing with proper/inproper tuning and the effects they both bring; i would just like to learn more about the breakdown of what these products do. thanks in advance

I really like browsing this forum for tuning information:

Jeff Evans is one of the best Honda tuners in the business and he posts some real good information on some of his posts.
