this is the wrong forum 1.

2. the general consesus is yes due to the fact that it allows fresh air to come directly into where the intake head sits.

People who track their mustangs ususally take off their headlights to do this very smae thing and they definately feel a difference.

The varis air duct is doing the same thing with less extreme measures.

Looks like the duct will suck in all the plastic grocery bags floating around on the freeway along with H20, bugs, small birds and anything else in your Z's path. Too bad there is no flush, mesh screen in front, but then that messes with the looks so the dilemma.

Oh yeah, the wild plastic bags roaming the countryside waiting to be sucked in to the varis air duct. Yeah, definately be worried about those, you hear about those stories everyday pratically. give me a break.

And the small birds, wow. countless stories about cars hitting small birds and sucking them into their varis air duct.

We might as well cover up that huge hole for the radiator, we wouldn't want wild plastic bags and small birds to be sucked into that hole either. Like lets be realistic here people. I respect your opinion as long as it's not so blatently exagerated.

if anything it would be at high speeds...

the Opening on the Varis duct is small... Only about a square inch...

The original Mines duct has a larger opening...

Horse power difference between the two... Its like comparing a K&N panel filter to stock...

But, at high speeds... both of them will let more air into your intake... Pointing directly to the front of your pop-charger...

So its a good thing either way you go!

Calm down Zed, can't you see that the post was made to be humorous? Gee forget a few smiley's and the guy is ready to knife you.

So here you go for your benefit:

That means "Funny"

BTW, I said it would be nice to have a mesh screen to keep any debris from screwing up the duct.

I did NOT say:

NOOOOOOO!!!!!! NO DUCT!!! MUY MAL, MUY MAL!!!!!!

DO THE SMILEY'S HELP? MAYBE I SHOULD TYPE IN ALL CAPS. IT LOOKS LIKE I AM SHOUTING, EH? AHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Let me give you a hug big boy.

I'd be wary of that hug...on a side note, doesn't the Mine's one cost a ridiculous amount more than the Varis, too?

Agreed, I can't believe some company hasn't thought about this a long time ago.
