The base model Z has 287hp but 274lb/ft of torque and the track ed. has 300hp & 260 lb/ft of torque. So does the increase in hp at the expense of peak torque really effect the 0-60 timings? Or do they kind of equal each other out?

Ok, i guess i am talking to myself...But what would you rather go for; 13 more horsepower or less hp and 14 more lb/ft of torque.

 

desperate...does anyone know if the track ed. (300hp) has faster 0-60timings than the base(287hp)? If so what are the timings?

 

You probably wont notice a difference from either cars 0-60, but the 300hp motor has more top end pull into 3rd gear and up on the highway. Remember base model has no LSD, so cutting a clean launch might be more difficult.

i dont remember who did the measurments but i think i saw somewhere that the 300hp version had like 0.1sec faster 0-60....not much

 

according to C&D, its a bit slower...
of course, their tests are not on the same day or anything, so take it for what it's worth.
