Default Feedback on Gatorback Belts

I am wondering if these things are really quieter than gates belts? I have the unorthodox crank pulley, and was wondering if anyone can suggest a model number for this application.

the gates belts i am using now are K060445 & K040353

gatorback belts do not come in incremental sizes like the gates belts (only inches and half inches).

Thanks,
Chad

I switched from the Gates belts to the Gatorbacks. They are great- fixed my pulley noise completely. Here's my review, part #'s for the belts, and pic of a belt in place.

awesome, thank you.

those belt sizes seem a little small though. do they run tight, or were they hard to put on?

For what's it's worth, I believe the Vortechs come with Gatorback belts and many people talk about switching to Gates because the Gatorbacks are slipping.

I actually figured that's what this thread was going to be about when I came in... My Gatorback seems to be fine with my SC, no noises... yet.

If you are running just the UR crank pulley they are the exact size belt you need. I cross referenced the part #'s on goodyears website. I actually think the AC belt is a 2 mm or so bigger than the Gates AC belt. No problem putting them on at all, and it was my first time ever changing belts in a car by myself.

The gates and Goodyear part numbers differ only in the first digit
Gates K060445 = Goodyear 4060445
Gates K040353 = Goodyear 4040355(closest match, I think its only 2mm bigger)
