These headers do not remove the cats, but are not 50 state legal, check your area's regulations.
Referring to set of stillen headers.
What/where do I go looking?

Stilen are NOT legal...
the only headers that are are the DC Sports... They are 50State CARB legal...
you can search here...
http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermk...es/amquery.php
search EO number EO: D-370-12
NHC4201, NHS4201 2003-2004 Infiniti G35 3.5L ending letters: "B" = brushed finish, stainless flange; "S" = polished finish, stainless flange
NHC4201, NHS4201 2003-2004 Nissan 350Z 3.5L ending letters: "B" = brushed finish, stainless flange; "S" = polished finish, stainless flange
the onlything stillen has carb legal is the supercharger...

CARB is based on very outdated over 30 year old laws that are in desperate need of being revised but there is no organization strong enough to have any pull in washington...
part of it is based on who is willing to spend the money, DC said yes we spend it...stillen said nope...it's all about the money

The CARB process is not an easy one to go through, nor is it cheap. To be honest, i think a lot of companies did not worry about going through the CARB process on their headers for the VQ35 engines, because of how hard it is to see them in the engine bay. It's not like a honda where you can see the headers right in the front plain as day......
I agree CARB is a lot of beurocracy, paperwork, and money, just for the state to pocket a little extra $$$........

EO: D-370-12 from DC headers handy when you need inspection.
as stated below , no one can really visually inspect the headers on the VQ nor could they tell the diff and the diff will not cause any measurable diff in TP emissions. All the inspector "needs" is an EO#, to enter into the report and cover his ****.

It's just on the CARB paranoia front , headers are way down the food chain IMO.

Usually, DC welds on a tag to their headers showing that they are CARB legal, along with the EO#. So far i have not seen any DC headers for the 350Z with this tag, however I am thinking that this is because they were actually produced and shipped prior to being carb approved. We had gotten a notice from DC Sports a few months ago announcing that they had been approved. You can contact DC Sports for a copy of their statement and EO# i believe.

All you really need is the EO# which can be gotten off the CARB website.
The inspectors (lgeti) I have used in Cali really just need that number to enter into the terminal. The number is unique to the product.
