Brian, I concur. They had for over 2 months a track pig with a 3.917 to test. I guess their research department doesn't!

Sorry the BCR harness bar crew will miss the Grattan event. Please beat a few GT3's for us!

Is the diff going to continue to be manufactured the way it is (with spacer, etc) or will there eventually be a version 2 with everything machined correctly to begin with?

Thanks,
Jeff

I dont think that has been decided yet. My guess, and its all speculation, is that they eventually will have two different versions.

Mine is being installed as I type this... Got the kit yesterday, and the car is in the shop right now...

VROOOOMMMM

I'm not a racer, but we'll see how this pans out... I've got a race logic, and some tight corners leading to my house... normaly I'm losing some pretty major traction with the open dif... For the money... I sure hope I feel it. =D

Cool, let us know how the install went. Ask the installer if they had any trouble. I just got my kit and am looking for an installer now.

Well I just talked to someone from Quaife America and they told me the bolts they sent out in the kit were too short by 1mm. The correct length should be 13mm. So as a warning to you guys who have installs setup sometime soon, you'll have to postpone them unless you have already received the right length bolts. As soon as they get the proper bolts they will resend another packaged kit out to everyone.

Yup... My car is torn apart... and now I need 13mm bolts, not the 12mm they sent.

PITA!!!!

Quiafe just called me too. This really sucks, people, and I am stuck in the middle of this....really am sorry.

I spoke to Quiafe, and they will be calling everyone today and tomorrow. Becuase it will take 5 weeks to have these special M13 bolts made, they are giving everyone the option of a full refund. Details of how this will happen will be sent by Harleigh at Quaife USA.

I believe the bolts will be...

M13 x 1.25 x 35mm (1 and 3/8ths inch). 10.9 grade...

Can someone doulble check this????

I'm going to call a bolt place or two and see if I can get my hands on some of 'em. Now that my car is torn apart.

Maybe there is an alternative to waiting 5 more weeks.

Well my calls reveal...

These are non ISO bolts, and will need manufactured.

I wonder if we can tap these to M14? Then we would have PLENTY of bolt options!

hey spd, Quaife also said they were an impossible bolt, and they will have to be manufactured.

Man, this has been a bad week for me. My water block cracked and blew up my main computer too.

Fast computers, fast cars... Such is life.

I interpretted the bolts were the wrong diameter, not the wrong length. In any case, they are the wrong bolts, and not readily available. They'll have to be custom made. (My Gawd! How much is that going to cost them?)

Other than that... I'm speechless.

Yeah this is a bit sad. Even good companies drop the ball sometimes. Too bad it was at our expense. I'm just glad I wasn't in a rush to get it installed.

Has anyone figured out for sure if the diff will install correctly in an auto diff housing?
