It did not fit right out of the box. My mechanic took everything apart and compared the stock diff against the new Quaife before he could see the Quaife ATB differential would not fit. He had to reinstall the stock piece.

Nobody has had a chance to find out if the fitment kit works.

The cotton-pickin' fitment kit, which just arrived at my door today, needs a fitment kit! We're on the third iteration, now, and we're not any closer to completing my installation than flying to the moon. My faith in The Quaife is stalwart, but who is in charge of this project over there, FEMA?(!)

Now they're saying it will be about 5 months before the required bolts can be custom made to complete our fitment kits. Then what? Will the fitment kits in fact do the job, or will another set-back rear its ugly head, setting us back another few months? I'm just about at wit's end.

I think that was 5 weeks, not months. Maybe by Christmas? I can live with some delay, since I still haven't got the 3.9:1 gearset I want, but I really feel for the guys with punkins on the ground waiting. That's gotta suck.

I have a friend with a 2004 5AT g35 but he doesnt know if his car has the sport package or not which includes the factory VLSD. Im guessing that since his is an auto it would still have the 3.3 gears and not the 3.5 that the 6MT has, am i right? I had planned on swaping pumpkins with him to get the gears and to keep from having to tear two pumpkins down just to change gears. So then i would have a pumpkin with the 3.3 gears that i can put the quaife into.

After talking to Quaife on the phone they told me that if i have the autos 3.3 gears and open stub axles that it should fit fine?

I dont know whats going on anymore.
