Front only vs 4 wheel Brake Kits?
Was reading this thread:
https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=13778
...and noticed that 4 wheel kits offer no real performance gain over front only (at least for Stop tech). Now lets say I got a front only kit and took my car to the track a few times...and my back stock brakes (non-track brakes) ended up fading. Would it really matter since the majority of the work is done by the front brakes? Should I be looking at a 4 wheel kit since I do not have a Track model? Thanks.

Good question, but I think the greater question is, how does teh EBS effect fade? Our cars have a brake system that translates most of the brake pressure up front instead of evenly. I asked a z tech and he said there is no way to turn it off. It will not go off w/ the vdc/tcs control. Who knows?

All cars have front brake bias. If the front and rears were equal you would be locking up the rears all the time. Old pickup (@ '78 and older) trucks were very bad on rear lock up with no cargo in them. That was one of the main reason ABS came about. Depending on the car as much as 80% of the stopping power is in the front brakes.
Upgrade the front if you fell you need them, if the rear fade the EBS will not notice as both rear wheels will be still be slowing down at the same rate as the fronts. If you have too much rear brake fade the front mayl lockup then the EBS will kick in and at that point your guess is as good as mine as to what will happen.
