Default ATS carbon LSD

Ok im seriosuly considering this instead of the quaife. I believe that this lsd outperforms the quaife for what i will use it for but Im not thrilled about NO WARRANTY and the rebuild is annoying but i doubt it would cost all that much in parts since its just carbon discs. My Q's are these.

1) Does it come with any kind of info on rebuilding the lsd once its in need of service?
2) What is the reliability of this lsd for occassional track use and daily driving?
3) What would i need to install it on a base model Z?
thanks

Hey Gatti.

1) The ATS carbon LSD comes with detailed diagrams on how to overhaul and disassemble/reassemble the diff.

2) The ATS Carbon LSD is extremely reliable. It's estimated service life depends on how hard you use it. The race teams go an entire season on one diff, easily, according to ATS. ATS claims a 3 year service life, but if you are daily driving the car, mostly, it will last much longer than that. Honestly, my guess is that you will sell or dispose of the car, prior to the ATS diff needing an overhaul. Carbon LSD's will last longer than metal clutch type LSD;s.

3) To install on a base model, you will need a pait of VLSD stub axles...they are roughly $350 for the pair. I can also order you a set of bearings and races, which will need to be installed on the new diff. You can reuse the bearings, but they can be difficult to remove from your stock diff, without damage.
