Default outside temp sensor on Z computer is located where?

just wondering where that thing is picking up readings from cause I'm pretty sure it's always about 10 degrees too hot for what outside temp really is.

Anyone know where it's located?

Engine compartment beside the exhaust manifold

J/K.......Pretty sure it is up under the windshield wiper plastic covering...under the w/s wipers. Close proximity to dash wiring.....little direct airflow and little engine heat.

I am pretty sure that it is behind the front bumper, near the hood release mechanism.
Mine always shows 20 degrees hot since my S/C install.

Correct! You can see it through the opening where the hood latch mechanism is located. It has a rather large connector on it with the wire running back to a harness.

What a dumb place to put a sensor. No wonder my gauge gets 10 degrees hotter during the summer when im idling for a while.

I wonder what the range is on the gauge. I might move the sensor to under the hood, just to see how hot it gets under there.

Monkey,

Take a blow dryer to it - that should heat it up significantly and you'll get an idea of how high it goes.
