Default Ground kit contact points w/ Kinetix plenum?

Seached around, but couldn't find anything. I was concerned about the two rear ground kit contact points that attach at the plenum. Are there alternate points being used for those that have the Kinetix plenum, or is it fine to leave them in the same location (and having the contact bolts running through to the lower plenum be enough)?

I have the Kinetix Intake Manifold as well as a custom grounding kit. Since no grounding kit was designed specifically for this manifold, I had to pick and choose wher I made my grounding points. I don't see where it would make a difference where you made your grounding points. Its all metal and will ground the same regardless of where you put your points I would think. I may be wrong but that was my logic when I did mine.

So what grounding points did you use, then, if not the standard ones on the plenum?

Anyone? I just need to know if the standard length ground kit wires are long enough to reach a couple of alternate grounding points back there and what they are. I need to know if I can order a stanard ground kit or if I'm going to need custom lenghts.

It is far cheaper to make your own. For about $35, I bought about 12' of Fosgate blue 4 gauge wire and 12 4 gauge Stinger ring terminals from Car Domain. I customized my own lengths and ground points. This mod is more for looks than performance in my opinion. See my pix below for my points.

Ah, ok, guess I should have specified; I was referring to the Kinetix composite plenum, not the SSV. I know I could do my own, but I can pick up a genuine Nismo ground kit for $50 and am going all Nismo with my car, so was wondering if it'll work or not. Still need input from someone with the composite plenum...

I knew which you were talking about. I had their V4 plenum prior to having the manifold. The point I am making is that as far as I know, it does not matter where you put your ground points as long as they are to metal that is on or touches the motor. When I get home from work, I will post pix with my V4 installed.

Cool; thanks. I'm sure there are plenty of other places to connect them in that general area; I really just need to know if a standard kit will reach, or if I need custom lengths. If a standard kit will work, I'll go ahead and grab the Nismo kit I know of that's for sale, but if not, I'll just wait and make my own later (I kind of like the look of the big 4 gauge Max-ground kits, anyway).

Oh, when you made yours, did you have to have a special crimping tool? If so, where do you get it and how much is it?

I just used a regular crimping tool. It was tool small, but I was able to crimp it 2 or 3 times on each termminal and it worked.
