Unhappy First Dyno

I really dont know what to think or what mod to go with next. Best run was 248.9 hp/236.6 TQ. I felt it woud be little better A/F is rich between 4k rpm and 5.5k rpm then leans out.He said this is normal! We ran 5 runs on SAE dynojet. What sugestions for the next mod to help me.I told Doug I would be down to get the Crawford cats but I dont know if it will help that much with what I have? Maybe headers? I dont know any input would help, I asked him about my exhaust and it is a replica of the Borla TD exhaust.

So you did 248whp with just an exhaust and a plenum? Those are great numbers man. I did 252 with intake, crank pulley, test pipes, plenum, and exhaust. Can you post your dyno with A/F so I can see how rich and lean your running? I would keep your parts, except the AEM-which for me and others didnt work well with the Crawford plenum---> run a short ram like a pop-charger instead. I would suggest test-pipes over hi flow cats, much cheaper and more power, but if you have emissions in your state your gonna need to swap them out. if you don feel like dealing with that then just do the HF cats. As far as the pullies only one that really makes power is the crank pulley, the alternator and water pump pulley are just for looks. So if you can get a complete set of pullies go for it, just know that the alternator is a beotch to put on, I would just do the crank and water pump which would take 35-45 minutes to do. My car gained 10whp SAE just by switching the AEM (too long of a tube) to a Pop-charger. If you want you could always just cut the AEM and run the filter short-ram.

Thanks Alberto , I feel a little better I wish I could post it...I didnt know if this is good or not.I will get the crank pully and be done if the other pullies are just for show. Also the AEM you make a good point longer tube vs. the jwt popcharger short ram also easier to clean...SOLD ..Crank pully and Popcharger then dyno again ...Thanx for your response Alberto.

i dunno, sounds about right to me, everyone wishes it was 1+1 = 2 math with adding bolt on NA parts, but it's something more like (1+1)*.65 = 1.3
