High Idle + SES light....help???
I recently installed a knetix V4 plenum and when I first drove it I noticed the RPMs were much higher than before (1200-1500). But thought it would take a few days for the ECU to adjust, then the SES light came on. So, I reset the ECU with the Technosquare instructions. The RPMs were still high but the SES light turn off. The next day the SES light came on again, but this time I checked it with an OBDII machine. The code the came up said "Idle higher than expected". I then tried the steps to adjust the Idle Intake Volume as per Technosquare instructions. This worked and sent the RPMs down to the usual 700-750, but only as long as I did not turn the car off. Any info on how to correct this would be great or why this is happening.
Thanks,
Jaime

When you disconnect the wire on the bottom of the throttle body it will do that. Have you tried the other two steps listed on technosquares sheet. I think that resets where the throttle is when you turn the car on and off. And yes you can get bored and honed throttle bodies, but they only give minimal gains with a reflash.

I have the exact same problem except it happened when i changed to new plugs and clean the throttle body a bit. I tried the TS learning steps too but it didn't work after restarting the engine. I have shcedule an appointment with the dealer to have them adjust the idle with their tools. I'll update you guys when I get the car back.
Do you guys think the dealer with accidentally erase my TS reflash when they fix the idle with the tools??

The dealer did adjust the idle back to 750 rpm for me (thank god my TS reflash's still work)....but HELL they charged me $95 CDN for diagnostic check since I have a JWT intake and they think that caused the problem which not covered under warranty!!
Rememer to swap your intake back to OE airbox and maybe the plenum too if you are bringing it to the dealer or else they will blame on your mods.
