OK I've read all this grounding kit stuff and I have one major problem with it. Apparently Nissan Japan offers this as an option on their cars....Why in the heck would proper grounding for the car's electricals be 'optional'? How would you sell that to a customer without sounding like an a-hole? I can hear it now "um yes sir if you want your ECU to run properly (on this 35k dollar car) you're gonna want to go with the grounding kit option" It seems to me that this is the way it should come from the factory. Am I way off base here or what? It just doesn't make sense.

we have Hot Earth Grounding Kits in stock. you'll notice smoother idle and power delivery compared to stock. $119 in silver. the Hot Earth is superior to HKS Circle earth because it uses the whole car for grounding instead of feeding all current back to the negative terminal.

Alfa Romeos used to have two metal washers under the back bolts that hold on the valve cover. My understanding was that when racing without the metal washers static electricity would build and blow the valve covers blow off.

Take it for what its worth, weird things happen on cars.....

Grounding is a good thing. If people notice a smother rev and better idle, I'd say that was great. Smoother means less resistance and probaly longer engine life.

Ordered my Kit from Insaneanime Sunday, will be at my place thursday, now that's quick for something made by hand

I guess I'll find out this weekend if it really make a diffrence, I do have some background in electronics so this does seam like a good idea, not just a way to spend $75.00 for nothing

I have a Sun Hyper Ground Silver set. If you don't think it makes a difference. I just went to the Stillen event this weekend in Costa Mesa Ca. and they did almost 20 dyno runs that day. I came out 239hp and it was a very smooth climb through the entire RPM range. But you can tell the ones that have ground systems and those who don't. Mine chart was very smooth. My friends who were there and dyno'd without Ground systems wasn't nearly as smooth. Very irratic. It is a good buy. Car well run better, not sure on the power increase cause I didn't do a base dyno to see. But from the day at Stillen I see that it is a good investment.

I finally got off my lazy duff & ordered everything I needed to assemble my own kit. I went to knukoncepts.com and ordered their new Kolossus 2058 strand OFC power cable. I got the blue stuff and when it came in the mail I held it up to my DB-Z in the sun and I gotta tell you it matches perfect. It's so close that you could call the blue cable color "Daytona Blue", really!!
And I went to soundomain.com and found some crimp style "HPP", hard platinum plated, ring terminals. And for the two ground locations on the right and left upper sides of the manifold I chose to use Allen Screw style ring terminals, also "HPP", and they are very attractive. Those two were 11.95 for the pair. I went to a local install guy and he did the crimps for me. I used Insanamines instructions to pull it all off. It was fun and very worth it to me in every regard. And it looks kick ars! Thanks Insanamine!!!

I've been following everyone's opinions on the grounding kits for a while. One question that I've come up with. Would the grounding kits have a positive effect during the break in period?

My thoughts on this would be that it reduces interference to the ECU, and doesn't the ECU pretty much adjust itself during break in?

Therefore would the grouding kit help the ECU adjust better?

there are claims of minor hp gains. A better explanation would be that it provides a better electrical circuit that might otherwise compromise power. The engine definitely idles smoother and loses that semi-dead spot as you take off.
