the first thing you should do is see if you can borrow a used car to learn to drive manual (you don't want to wear out the clutch or your gear box) When you start try to ease off the clutch slowly till the car moves forward. Keep the clutch at this position and you should slowly move forward, almost like lightly stepping on the gas on an automatic. Now keep in mind where this position is so you can start off without stalling. now gently apply gas and release the clutch. Shift for speed (when tach hits 3000rpm or every 10mph roughly)

when you stop, you have 2 choices. You can downshift or stop in neutral. IMO you should stop in neutral, cause brake pads are cheaper to replace than clutch or gear box. when coming to a stop, clutch in and shift to neutral (the middle of the gear box) and apply breaks to stop.

for downshift (engine assist stopping) clutch in and shift down to stop. ie. in 3rd gear, shift to 2nd, then 1st while nearing the stop sign/light.

When stopped, put the car in neutral and release the clutch.

To go, just repeat the process, clutch in, shift to first. Ease off to the point where its engage (see told you to remember this spot)apply gas and release clutch.
