im debating between the following gauges and would like some opinions.
EGT gauge or
Intake Temp Gauge
i have a nitrous pressure gauge, and wbo2 gauge. i also have a fuel pressure gauge which i dont need because of the wbo2 gauge. low fuel pressure=lean condition so im not too worried about keeping the fuel pressure gauge. what do you guys recommend?
by the way, if anyone is interested in buying a carbon fiber, full sweep, electronic fuel pressure gauge with sender and all hardware, PM me.
thanks

I would not bother with either quite frankly.
EGT is great when coupled with a datalogger and a user tunable ecu....otherwise, it will give you info, but it will largely be meaningless and you won't have the means to make changes to change those readings. Intake air temp looks pretty I suppose, but again, to what end? If it is a race car that sees different conditions on a semi regular basis, I could see it being worthwhile, as you can play around with some different ducting and positions from event to event. For a street car though, I don't see how on earth it would be practical.
If it were me, I'd put the money towards an ecu upgrade that allows you to make changes and log those changes

i've looked into an ECU upgrade, but im limited with what i can do since im using nitrous. all i can do is raise my rev limiter and remove the speed limiter which i can care less about. the raised rev limiter is a good idea, but its not worth $300+ just for that. that and the fact that and ECU upgrade wont do much unless im going FI.
my buddy uses nitrous on his mustang cobra and was able to install a flip switch onto his ECU. 2 different tunes. ones for N/A and one for Nitrous use. why doesnt the z having something like that?

Air intake temp can be tapped from ECU Pin number 34.
If you are planning to tune this car, then an EGT, and wideband AF gauge a good choices. I agree with Adam....get yourself some kind of ECM...you can log and tune many of these variables with the eManage Ultimate or the UTEC. (UTEC is tentatively scheduled for early Nov release). The UTEC give you five different maps to toggle between, and the EU give you two sets of maps.

It's call the Turbo XS UTEC - fully programmable fuel and ignition, plug and play, can be used on turbo or NA cars, and can store 5 maps
