Default Remove the Presilencer or Don't remove the Presilencer?

What does everyone think? Remove the Presilencer or Don't remove the Presilencer?

I personally am going to try it, if I don't like, I will simply put it back on.

I agree with you zogan.

The problem with aftermarket exaust is... it's way too loud in my taste. After removing pre-silencer, I like z's exaust tone even more. Can't really describe the way it sounds though.
One more good thing is... reducing weight of Z. say... 7 lbs?

This mod is not for everyone I guess. Personally I like it a lot.

The sound is pure bliss...IMHO - what the Z should have sounded like.

IF you anyone voted, reply why you voted that way! So far the majority of the people voted no. WHY?

I did it with very little information, just that it might be louder. The guy who did it had never done a 350Z before. I am completely happy with the results. It sounds like a sports car ought to sound!

I gotta say the sound is AWESOME. ... Sounds like my friend's Ferrari Modena. Nothing like the "fart can" people have been saying. AND when the car has not warmed up yet and it has a raspy sound to it it sounds exactly like our E46 M3. I REALLY believe Nissan should've had it from the factory without the silencer in place. Now the car has sound, before it was like driving a Lexus... Not that anything is wrong with that .. But not in a sports car.

Default Wrong!

The vote should've been
1) I did it and I like it
2) I did it and I don't like it
3) I'm going to do it
4) I'm not going to do it

Because really only votes of those who did it really count

just got it done today, and i would recommend it. does not sound like a ricer at all. the only bad part is you always want to rev out each gear just to hear it! if you don't like it, you could always take it off.

Any muffler shop could do it, but I got mine done at a place that specializes in custom work for show and performance. That kind of place will be more knowlegable and take more care.

No, I don't think it's a DIY job, unless you're into heliarc welding & making custom flanges in steel pipe!

Someone here said they paid $20 - I paid $40.

I got a qoute yesterday, $30 for everything if they just weld it on, $60 if they put bolt-ons (so I can change it back when ever I want w/ out cutting it off everytime)

Those prices included everything: labor, parts, and time.

Does anyone have any info or anything on bolting it on instead of welding it????????
