Is the dampening range of the stock shocks enough to cope with the Eibach drop, or will they wear out at an exaggerated rate? What are the real risks of springs only vs. something like the TEIN kit that big balla skidazzle's got?

Have you actually seen the Eibach kit on a Z yet?

The stock struts will wear faster than normal on a dropped car.

Just like Avalon stated, they will wear faster than stock shocks. I would definitely recommend looking into some aftermarket shocks, such as Koni, when they become available this spring.
