Matching Transmission Part # to the year it was made *?*
Alright ya'll I just found out I'm getting a new transmission.
The service advisor gave me the part number on the old transmission and the new one. The last 3 numbers on the old tranny was 005 and now my new one coming on it's way is going to be 008. How do I use this part number to figure out what year model tranny I'll be having?

Thanks man! Do you think the 009 are any better than the 008 or are they the same?
How is your tranny holding up and how many miles do you have on it?

im not sure. all i know is my 008 is very whiney in 1st gear. after it sits all night it will sort of grind the first or second shift going into 2nd. it doesnt actually grind like my 3rd did with a terrible sound, but you can feel some contact.
i dont know alot about the 009. all i know is its the newest version out
