I'll probably end up with coilovers for the better handling and the adjustability if I go to the track ever.

Other than that ... I'll probably keep them at or very close to stock height.

Default not me

I've lowered 2 cars and replaced the shocks in both of them for handling and looks reasons. I will never do it again. If you think the ride is rough now just lower it. It's not worth it in my opinion.

I still find it hilarious that the lowering springs are out and there is NO MEANS of fixing the camber. What were these people thinking. A lot of people will wait to lower till the camber kits are out. Myself included.

when i lowered a previous car i had a terrible tire wear issue. like the 350Z, this car had nonadjustable camber. i will not lower my Z unless i get some 19's and the wheel gap is too big. but from what i have seen from other members here, it doesnt look like the Z needs new springs. ive grown out of going for the "slammed" look.

What is the difference between springs and coilovers? I used to have an Acura Intergra GSR that I lowered and I hated it! It also did not have adjustable cambers and my tires wore terribly. So what are coilovers and how can you adjust them? Is it easy to adjust? Are they normally expensive?

Thanks!

I *might* eventually replace the springs with an aftermarket set to improve the spring rate, but not to lower....the car's low enough IMO. (And this is coming from someone who LOVES the lowered look and has done it to a few cars).

Springs are just that, springs. Where as coilovers is a complete set of springs/shocks tuned for each other, with the exception that you can adjust your ride height, while maintaining a relatively stock ride. The ride height is quite easy to adjust; however, the rebound/compression adjustment is a bit harder in the back since the **** is hidden. Unless, they can reverse the shock to have the **** facing the ground where you'll have easy access.

Coilovers are always more expensive then springs or shocks alone, since they come as a set built for each other.

I want to, but I can barely get up and down my parking garage at work with the stock suspension. There is now way I can lower my car until I get another job at a different parking deck. Just to give an example, my co-workers stock Honda Accord will bottom out in the parking deck!

This car looks fine the way it is at stock height. It's not like my old RSX where the huge wheelwell gap made it look lifted. Besides, I like not having to worry about scraping.

Default lOWERING YOUR 350

I lowered my 300z convertible with the eibach spring and tokico strut replacements. The car sits about an inch lower and rides excellent. I would stick with the eibachs if your afraid of having a bad ride. I've got 1800 miles on my 350z Touring now and am ready to lower mine with the new eibach appilcation. I'm not going to worry about new struts this time. The original ones in my 300 were the same part #'s for the perf. ones. Don't be afraid to lower it if you use the right company. Choose Eibach. It almost sounds as if I work for them, but I don't. Later FJ.....
