There are many perks of having a aftermarket radiator... mainly for fi guys it cools down the car alot quicker and keeps it cooled with a thermostat, but if you go with that combo your car will take a little longer to heat up and stuff but no biggy. You almost never have to worry about your car overheating which is perfect for heavy street racing or drag racing. Its a very tite fit but well worth it. I have the koyo and LOVE IT!!!!

An aftermarket radiator will not do you any good if you are just using your car on the streets. The stock is more than sufficent but you might want to upgrade to a koyo if you have FI or tracking. Its an extra insurance against overheating. Headgaskets are expensive on a 350z.

Thanks,
Tom

i drive the **** out of my car on the streets.. if you got F/I i suggest a radiator and thermostat.. im also getting a oil cooler for even more protection.. i blew my motor becuase of oil starvation and excess heat.. i spun a bearing.. so yeah a F/I motor that gets beat on will heat up and burn oil.. its best to take as much percaution as you can when investing this much money on performance parts.. whats another 500 bucks for a radiator and thermostat?

so you would not see any improvment on the streets from an aftermarket intercooler?
I always thought the cooler the engine the better, shows how much I know, haha.

If you live where it's hot, and you have FI, an aftermarket radiator sure won't hurt you out on the street in 115 degree weather

If you're going FI and making big power, you'll need a bigger radiator.

The big problem with FI and big power on the VQ motor is keeping the motor cool.

I don't see any reason for on NA but on FI it's a must. My car's performance has gotten so much better since I got the Stillen Radiator and Nismo Thermostat for my APS TT. I can do run after run at the Drag Strip and the car is still holding up without getting too hot.
Without it after a while performance would drop
