That depends on what they are including in the 30k. That sounds a little cheap.

you should check what they'll actually DO, not CHECK. Usually the only thing you need to worry about is changing your oil and oil filter. You can't rotate the tires on your car (assuming your car has a staggered setup like stock), and CHECKING your belts and other stuff hardly justifies the 200+ dollar price. IMHO, save your money.

I agree. I haven't seen anything in the service schedule that isn't something I can't do myself at a fraction of the price. most dealer service dept service schedules are rip offs designed to charge you extra for them doing nothing.

however you can rotate your tires even if they are directional and stagged. jason from performance nissan has posted how to do it.

Nissan recommends changing:
oil and filter
air filter
wiper blades
pcv valve
coolant
radiator cap
brake fluid
transmission oil/atf
differential oil

Plus various inspections. Normally would be $350-$400 (including tax). BTW, Im a Nissan Service advisor and not all service departments are trying to rip you off.

If they change anything for the money make sure all parts/fluids are included.

I'll check all you guys' brakes and belts for $300. I just got that schedule and man does the dealer rip people off. Change coolant, oil, check belts and hoses, clean battery terminals. Go to quick lube ang get it done for a lot less. There are some places that will even check brakes, etc for free.

Maybe some aren't trying but then they always end up doing it somehow now don't they?

Dealers are down in the gutter with lawyers and maggots.

Man, I wish you were right.... I really do, but I have a very hard time believing that any dealer wouldn't rip anyone off they can.

BTW, I am a business consultant for car dealerships and see the business from every which way possible.... It's business and they will take anyone for as much as they can. I wish it wasen't true, but it is.
