Default Gear oil question?

I've recently purchased an 03 track model w/28,000 miles, the previous owner had the trans. and clutch replaced under warranty [I did'nt ask why], anyway I decided to replace the tranny oil with synthetic. I've always used redline MT90 in the past but when I called Redline direct they said to mix 50/50 MT90 and MTL, [ WTF I'm thinking] anyway I've done it but still am not comfortable with it. Any feedback on is greatly appreciated. I've read alot of people on this site talking about Amzoil gear oil and hopefully someone can steer me right before any long term damage is done.Thank's.

You have to mix it because Nissan specifies something like 75w85 gear oil and noone else sells that weight oil. I use royal purple MaxGear in both the tranny and diff and love it.

How long have you been using it? What differences have you noticed?

2 weeks, no difference but I was'nt having problems anyway, I wanted to smooth out that slight notchyness, plus I wanted to know I had really good oil in it.

Be careful bout the oil you use. Make sure its the right API-Service (GL4 or GL5) rating. After this was written I learned bout it.

Congratulations on the purchase.
