I have a problem w/ the TEIN's, according to the one Japanese review of them (comparing them to the other coilover options) they actually fared badly in the ride department, lower than I believe all the other options... They're being overhyped I think... I would go w/ the Hipermax..

 

There are a few options here, but all are limited. We have not seen an influx of just upgraded struts yet from the manufacturers. They will be coming, but no one has stepped up to the plate yet. All the solutions today will worse case lower the car .8 inches.

This would be the Eibach Pro kit. The bounce is still though, mostly related to the rebound characteristics of the factory struts. I recommend the JIC coilovers as ride height is adjustable as is dampening and rebound. As set runs around $1700.00

The other alternative is to wait a while until we see a decent strut that we would recommend. Unless you are doing any auto-X or road course events - The Eibach kit with some strut will solve the problem.

I went to the websites for the coilovers and the sites for adjustable dampers. I'm guessing, of course, but I think a good adjustable damper like a Koni, Bilstein, Tokiko may be the answer to the Bounce, but they are not out yet. Maybe they will be out in Spring, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

I really would like to try the HKS LS coilovers, I like the idea of a ride like a firmed up GS430 w/ the handling of the Z, but the priority list is not in my favor at the moment. I'll watch my air pressure very closely and wait. Something will turn up that does the trick, always happens. I can wait.

Boomer--resolute in the face of temptation. But, I want it now!

 

Koni told me summer for their stuff when I emailed them. I think I'll just live with it for awhile. It doesn't bother me in most of my driving, but some roads it is bad.
