I've had one about a month now, so just a few hundred miles. Took no time at all to adjust to the revised gearing. Around town you're shifting more, but overall the shorter gear seems more flexible, probably because you're a bit further into the power band most of the time, and the car is noticably quicker.

The gears went in with a Quaife LSD, and you definitely want a serious LSD with the short rear. No idea what my engine is making (just headers, spacer and pop), but it's a whole lot easier to spin the tires now; come Spring, I'm exchanging my Pilot Sport A/S for summer rubber. Without the Quaife, I'd probably like the gears a lot less than I do.

awesome, and since the speed limiter cuts it at 160mph, i have nothing to worry about

Isn't the Central20 FD about 1/2 the cost of the 350EVO? What's a ballpark figure for an install?

Ok ...a Question I Dont Think Anyone Has Asked!!! With The 3.9 Rear Does It Require Shifting To Third 0-60?...and If So Wouldnt That Hurt The 0-60 Times?

don't know if this was directed towards me but...I mentioned that it does not reduce top speed on the car for those with the limiter still in place. Yes our gears are theoretically able to hit 185.6 stock and the 3.9 reduces it to 167.6. So if you still have the limiter on the car then the 3.9 does nothing to the actual top speed you can reach. Now if you want to get up to 170+ you need FI, and if you go FI then the 3.9 gearing would probably not be a good idea on the car...you would be better off with the stock final drive or the auto one.

If my math is right, 60 mph happens at 6882 RPM in 2nd gear, with an OEM rear tire diameter, so a 6600 redline will be a little short, but rev-up should be OK. I think there's a Utec in my future.

$400 to $500 depending on who does it. Mine was $400 plus the gear oil.

The 350evo gears are hands down too expensive. Saying you get what you pay for is crap. Look at gears for other cars and you will see.

Go with the Central 20 if you can find a set. You need the same additionaly parts for the install regardless of which you buy. Both are only a ring and pinion.

YEP this is why i buy chinese knock of shoes...You take some company that puts all the R&D then sells them one for a personal car and a few mos later the company deut their own identical ring a pinion.. wy 3.9 and not 4.10 or 3.8 or 3.7... just because they used some one elses idea and with that lack of production cost the sale cost is much lower....

I suppose its business but i am going to always support a cincy local business for their ingenuity.
