"electronic fuel injector service"???
the dealer service dept. says I need to do this b/c I have "carbon buildup" on the "throttle plate" and elsewhere....they want to charge me $130.....says it will help with mileage and acceleration.....
Anyone hear of this? Should I get it done?
Thanks,

Actually, there is a hose that runs from the rocker cover to the intake tube and the Z does have a PCV valve to allow blowback into the intake manifold.
I'm not sure that cleaning the injectors will do much to remove the buildup on the throttle plate. Actually, the more I think about it, my guess is that it's dust stuck to the throttle plate as a result of the oily film that does build up in the intake system. That hose from the rocker cover allows oil vapors to travel back into the intake, it coats the inside of the plenums, the throttle body and the upper half of the intake tube.

As a unit of measure.... I have 24,000 miles on my car, and I could eat off my throttle plate. It's spotless. I looked at it last week. Maybe you have some other issue going on in your motor. After looking at my throttle plate I would say it's not normal to have any deposit on it.
