Default best motor oil for 350z that won't break budget?

so i've tried to search this topic but no luck. the only thing i found was motor oil that is recommended for twin turbo z's. So what synthetic motorl oil do you guys recommend for a standard 350z tour/manual 6speed? and how often should i have it done? i bought my car from a friend and it had about 12,500 miles on it. he told me its due for an oil change.

Castrol is awesome as well, but compared to mobil1 I would choose mobile1. It has been proven time and time again plus mobil1 spends lots of $$$ on R&D of oil properties.

if you go with mobil 1 do you think we still need to change it every 3000 miles?

I'm currently running mobil one 5w30 and will be changing to royal purple 10w30 soon. my z ate about a quart of mobil 1 within a couple thousand miles so I'm switching it up. the cheapest royal purple out here is $5.49/qt but I bet you can find it cheaper in CA.

Yes the Z seems to guzzle Mobile 1 like water. Alot of it burns off into god knows where. I switched to Royal Purple 10W-40 and love it, the thickness means the car is quieter and sounds smoother and my oil press doesn't have big fluctuations. I've been running RP for probably around 30k miles now and wouldn't use anything else. Check out Bob Is the Oil Guy (it's a website) and you will learn alot about oil.

In my opinion what oil you go with has little relevancy to anything. Just buy the cheapest synthetic you can get and change it every 5000mi for FI. Mobil 1 is available at Wal Mart for $4 per quart. Why go with anything else.

I am someone with a story about a VQ35 motor with Mobil 1 NOT burning a drop.

I also use Mobil 1. No oil burning issues here either.
