Default question about 350z engine

Ok i asked this a while back...
My car is an 04.5 track 350z, now my question is, 287 or 300hp crank? I was told a couple weeks ago on here that it was 287, but im talking with a guy that seems to know his stuff and he asked about my redline, my redline starts AFTER 7k, so about 7100, he said if its 6600 then its 287, 7100 then its 300...

someone please let me know, and if it is the 300, is it the rev-up, or did that only come on 05+?

300 HP is a rev-up motors, they started producing the rev-ups in the '05.

your car is '04 so its 287 HP. I assume your car has a reflash, thats why you can rev your car up to 7100 RPM

Well then im confused, this car never been flashed ever. Bought it off showroom floor with 968miles so basically been mine whole time... So what does this mean then? Cause ive never really TESTED out like slowly when i hit rev limit, i might do so tomarrow to know for sure...

and the valve cover thing, i havnt checked, what will that indicate? rev up motor or not?

Tachometer ^^. Is your car an auto? Ive heard of autos shifting around 7000rpm's. And your saying your redline doesnt start until after 7000?? Very odd, you should have a normal Z motor.

Very strange ... shouldn't you just be able to tell by the redline?
