No, it is not better for what we're doing. But thanks for advice.

Thumbs up L10

O - I was probably one of the first to upgrade my tranny stuff through Level 10 ( back in March of '04 ) & I've run plenty of nitrous through my engine w/o any tranny problems. L10 modified my factory convertor & it stalls @ 2800 rpms ( flash-stalls to 3100 rpms or so ) & the car launches harder. Shifts @ WOT are firm & quicker than stock but not as quick as SGP's ( based on Gurgen's video over on G35 Driver ).
My only complaint was the turn-around time was almost 2 full weeks & not 3-5 days as promised! They didn't apologize ( either verbally or monetarily ) but I've gotten over it.
For my AEBS engine & Vortech combo I've been talking to Michael with VRT & Mark with SGP about making whatever upgrades it takes to handle 600 whp. SGP says that there are some upgraded clutch packs in the pipeline for the trans but those R about 1 month or so away. VRT wants to do a cryo-treatment on the V/B & some other proprietary stuff so I'll need to decide pretty soon. Hey - maybe Gurgen will sell me HIS A/T since I seem to be buying his car piece by piece!!

Gene,

It was you who got his AEBS block. I hope it treats you well.
I'm also delighted to see that work is being done to release upgraded clutchpacks. Go Raybestos. I'm still very skeptical about auto tranny holding 600whp. If you look at the pictures from my post about our Level 10 tranny, you'll see some damage to the planetary gears and shafts. It really makes me wonder, what caused the damage. Clutchpacks melting and shaving the gears with byproducts or vice versa - gear shavings destroying the clutchpacks. Car was running ~12psi on Greddy TT and was driven hard, but not abused.

i had my TC upgraded for nitrous use by edge racing a year ago. good service.

sgp it is then for my VB upgrade.

you guys should try to rev match when you downshift from 2nd to 1st. dont downshift with your foot off of the gas pedal unless your almost at a dead stop.

edit: omg!! the sgp upgrade is a cool $1k? ill have to pass on that.

Level 10 has a terrible reputation. When I owned my Supra, they were making terrible upgrades that ALWAYS had problems. Supra automatic owners would use Precision Industries for converters. http://www.converter.com/ There was nothing but good words about their products and service.
