Default NEED HELP!! Clutch is Stuck!!!

I stepped on the clutch, put it in first then it felt like a pop from the clutch, then it was stuck to the bottom, but the car was still in gear i was able to drive home. WTF!!! I went to check my clutch and i can pull it back up to normal position, but then when i step on it, it just gets stuck... there's no resistance...whats going on... ???

Sounds like you have no hydraulic pressure. Are you fluids ok?

Open the hatch on the drivers side under the hood. Inside you'll find the brake master cylinder and clutch fluid resevoir. You can use brake fluid (DOT 3) in the clutch too.

ok, one of them is low but its not labeled which one it is. Is the clutch fluid resevoir the smaller one?? Also any brake fluid will do? thanks dave for your help.

this is come to be pretty common i've noticed on mine it does it when i pop the clutch. mostly it does it when its hot after a while but not always. i purchase a kevlar coated stainless steel clutch line that should fix it. i'll let you know but if it dosent back to good ole nissan i go looking for a new heavy duty clutch.

Yes, the clutch fluid resevoir is smaller and it has the hose running out of the bottom. The brake resevoir is mounted to the top of the master cylinder. According to the service manual, any DOT 3 brake fluid will do. (You can't use DOT 5 synthetic in either the brake or clutch.)

ok, saw that it was low so filled it up with DOT 3 Brake fluid... still f'ed. I have no resistance at all. If i pull the clutch back up, then step on it about half way, it just drops to the bottom...this sucks

Can you check the reservior again...and check under the car and see if there is fluid pooling there..and if so then the line is toast and theres a big leak...in that case, Im not sure if merely adding fluid is going to help. Ill try to think of what else you can do in the mean time

thanks will, but theres no fluid on the ground anywhere. I even backtracked to check if there was a trail of fluid, but nothing. Do we have a cable or something that hold on to the clutch, cuz thats kinda what it felt like popped/snapped. It felt like a rubber band snapped...i dont know if that helps...

Well since there is no fluid on the ground...it seems that the line should be ok...ive seen someone with a busted line and it was a mesh!..back to point... I would need to check the service manual...to see if a cable or spring is dislodged...

but as someone else mentioned...bleeding the line might be something too..

ok well first check the obvious, so go under your dash and just do a visual confirmation that the clutch pedal is attached to the clutch fork VIA a shaft and a cotter pin. Then come back well help you
