Default UTEC Installation Costs

What are shops charging for install and dyno tunning. Is $500 to much or about right? Im not the most technical person but from the looks of the pictures of the UTEC system it looks pretty much like plug and play. Is there more to installing this system?

Mine took about 15-20 mins to install... 500 for a tune is pretty avg I think. If you decide to use it for boost and some of the other optional sensors it might take a little bit more to install, but just the utec + map sensor install is a real quick plug and play.

For NA tuning thats about right, assuming they use open loop fueling. If they use MAF offset, we wouldnt charge more than $350. For FI tuning, $600-$660 is the norm. Open loop fueling demands at least an hour or two of roading tuning...hence the higher costs.

Intallation of the unit takes about 30mins to 1 hour, depending on what accessories you are connecting.
