JIC coilovers installed
Long time reader, first time writer. I just got the JIC coilovers installed in my track! I already have the Nismo S-tune sway bars. I got the mods installed at Stillen. I don't have a camera so I couldn't take pictures. It dropped the car 3/4 of an inch and looked sweet! When they were installed they did not adjust them. It was like riding on rocks! I think I lost a couple of fillings on the way back. The techs drilled a hole on both sides of the rear strut tower so I could fit the tool in the valve adjuster int the rear and the fronts are easily accessable. Once I got home I adjusted the front to 5 clicks and the rear to 4 clicks. Much better. Still very stiff but handles awesome and I love the feel. I did notice a little understeer, must still be too stiff. Got to go.
No bouncing but every bump and pothole is noticeable at the settings I mentioned above. It definately needs to be adjusted softer in the rear. I've got to go to dinner. I'll answer any questions you guys have when I get back. Keep in mind I've only had these for a day.
FYI, I have the JIC's on my RX7. Remember when adjusting the damping to always go counter clockwise all the way to ZERO and then back to your desired setting.
Also check to see if there are any noises at all. Many times the upper nut will not be completely tight and you'll hear some slapping of the pillowball moving up and down under bumps. This cannot be tightened unless the suspension is loaded, otherwise the pillowball will spin. You don't want to spin the shaft.
I was told if this isn't done that they will not change damping properly.
PEace.

Congrats on purchasing some of the best suspension components. I installed JIC FLT-A2 on my S2k a few months ago and am still blown away evry time i drive my car. It really made an amazing difference iin the handling and predictability of the car.
JIC incorporates a few technologies that the other guys are not hip to yet. These features really make them stand out from the crowd. First of all, they use a thicker piston than anyone else. This provides a much smoother ride and reduces the chance of po-going, a common problem attributed to lowering. Second, the shock is double height adjustable. The spring perch can be lowered and so can the entire shock body. These two levels of adjustments allow the car to be lowered without the loss of any suspension travel. This is key to maintaining a good alignment and ride.
All of the components are powder coated as well which will help down the line if you ever care to make adjustments again. They will not rust over and get stuck on you. If you guys need any more info on these let me know, i ll be glad to help you out.

I've been driving around on the same JIC setup for a couple of months now, and I've been super impressed since day one. I highly recommend these to anyone in the market for new suspension-- Good choice!! ...Giovanni...
hey stretch,
what is your final setting/clicks for your dampers/shocks.
also, can you please post a pic/or pix on where they drilled holes on the rear strut tower covering so that the tool for the dampening can be reached.
thanx,
