would a y-pipe change the stock sound at all? how much do you have to change in order to get the nismo sound?

 

I'm about to get a pop charger and either the 5/16's spacers or plenum. Now is it worth the extra cost to do an ECU flash. Not even sure what that does

 

What it is worth is up to you. ...But a reflash commonly makes 10-12 HP. There can be a couple other nice features with it too.

No speed limiter. Raised RPM limiter and more.
For a little more money you could also look into the UTEC or Greddy Emanage.
These cost more but they also allow for fine tuning of engine performance parameters.
