Default How much for Brembos?

How much does it cost to purchase the stock (Track model) brembo brakes (like all 4 of them). Is it cheaper to get them from Japan? I know they're not REALLY made from brembo...Just licensed I believe.

Hmmm,

I was gonna say that I didn't think you could get them from Brembo, but it sounds like you already know that.

Just curious, why get those when you could get as good or better aftermarket brakes for about $2000 (stoptech front kit).

Is there something specific you are looking for?

I was curious because I am probably going to eventually get a brake kit, so I was wondering what was driving your decision.

The brakes on the Track model are indeed made by Brembo, both the discs and the calipers.

Brembo does not "license" their products. They are manufactured and assembled in Italy and shipped to Japan for installation on the cars.

They are ridiculously expensive if you try to purchase them from the dealer network, either here or Japan. Either get aftermarket Brembos, or wait until someone with a Track model upgrades and sells them off.

Default Try checking in the G35 coupe sites!

Someone posted them here and sold all 4 for $2500 plus shipping! Not bad at all for all 4 Brembos! Someone with a Track waiting to upgrade brakes may sell them as well. Good luck!!

Hmm.. the reason I asked is because I wanted a 4-wheel braking system and that costs over 4000 dollars. I know a stoptech 2 wheel system would work just as well (if not better) but I don't want my rear brakes looking even MORE miniature. And 2500 dollars for a set of Brembo's off someone's car is a lot better than a full set from Brembo or stoptech for 4500 or so...

Also, I think the stock brembo's with some new pads and maybe SS brake lines is more than enough.. I mean even dwnshift is using them for racing purposes.

I can understand that. Those rear brakes sure look small with the 18" wheels.

Well, good luck with the brakes...I'll probably end up with just a front brake kit eventually.
