What's that noise?! Broken throttle body???
guys,
I had my throttle body removed last night just to clean all the greasy oil out... and I noticed that when I moved the throttle body side ways, I could hear something is rolling inside (not exactly rolling, but going from one side to the other when I moved it around)... is that normaly? I double checked that the throttle plate was tightly secured and it seems to be in the electronic throttle housing though... Normal???
The reason I asked was that I always have the engine surge at around 1600rpm and 2100rpm at light throttle and before I put the throttle back last night, there was no more noise even when I shaked it for a bit... and the throttle went well and smooth without any surge... but this morning, I got the engine surge back again and I decided to remove the throttle again this arvo just to check it out... and when I moved the throttle out, I could easily hear that something was rolling inside again...
So anyone actually notice that "something is rolling side ways" in the throttle body? Thanx
cheers,
richie

it is prolly just side to side slop in the gears that operate the throttle plate. i have drilled out the rivets before to check everything out in there and that is prolly all you are hearing.
