Default Another Clutch Slipping...question though..

Took the Z in about my clutch slipping on me w/ 28,000miles on it(2004 BTW).
They said it would be 50/50 if they are going to cover it under warranty. The service manager said as long as he didn't see any "hot spots" or signs of abuse they would cover it.
My question is has anyone had their clutch covered under warranty? Just seems like a wear and tear item, but if they are going to cover it, far be it from me to stop them.
Been driving a stick my whole life and don't abuse it, so we will see what happens.

I would be shocked if a clutch was warrantied near 30K miles. But like you mentioned, if they want to crack it open...I wouldnt stop them. Even if they pay just the labor, that's a great deal. Whatever you do, dont put a stock clutch back in there. Take advantage of the free labor by putting a performance clutch instead. JWT, ACT, or RPS will suit you nicely.

THX for the reply. I took it up today and they told me that they wanted $480 bucks to pull the tranny and put it back in. If they found it to be a factory defect, then i wouldn't have to pay. I told them don't worry about it cause I know it's the clutch. So I got a local shop and going w/ the JWT clutch.

I Installed an APS Turbo into a Z car with 500 miles on it. Within 2 days, less than 200 miles of driving the clutch went south. I replaced it with an ACT, problem solved.
