sun auto hyper force install
Just finished installing the sun auto's hyperforce system. It was an easy install, unplug the spark plug connector, plug this into the new hyperforce harness and plug in the hyper force connector to the spark plug. There is one plug to the hyper force unit itself and one small wire to the positive lead of the battery. After starting the car the unit pulses a blue led looks pretty cool. So far it could be the combination of my undoing the neg lead on the battery, (reset the ecu) but i feel more power, feels more torquey. The obvious things from the install are the smoother idle and revving seems smoother. Oh well, i'll see how it feels when i drive it some more this weekend. Thanks Rickdogg!

If you're just looking for a smoother idle, then it might not be worth it. It does feel smoother throughout the whole rev range though. I'll post again after a few weeks and see if i'm still feeling the extra torque. So far it feels like a got back some of the lower end torque i lost when adding all the intake/exhaust mods.

hey guys, i installed mine and it does seem to rev up quicker and i did gain a little low end torque, but for some reason everytime i rev the engine and let off, the idle drops really really low, almost making the car stall. It come sback up to normal, but it drops soooo low. Any ideas?

Did you take off any vacuum hoses or anything else on the install? I have similar mods as you except i'm running the injen CAI. I'm not having any idle or drop in idle issues at all. Maybe try reset the ecu and see.

You may need to adjust the wires coming from the main unit into the harness. Look at the instructions for the unit, not the harness. It's not to be angled up at all? I might be off, it's hard to tell from your picture.

No, I did not disconnect anything that woudl affect the idle. I just diconnected the things it told me to. I tired resetting the ECU the way on the technosquare website, but I dont think it worked. Any other suggetsions for resetting it?

I think my car did something similar to that when i had a small air leak in my plenum spacer. You can always try unplugging the unit and see if it's that. Oh yeah, try using a watch when doing the TS method of resetting the ECU, it's a lot easier that way. By the way Rick, nice pics, the cars aren't bad either!!!

You never had this problem before the hyperforce install? I've heard of poeple with pop chargers having that problem too. Anyways, my leak was caused by a small section of the plenum gasket folded and it created a real slight gap in the back area so i couldn't see it. I knew it was the plenum because it was the last thing i worked on. The car did drop down in rpm, but then again it ran a little rough with occasional missing. Did you recheck all the wires on your install and made sure everything was clicked in?
