I was driving a 2006 GT 350Z roadster and the rpm needle stop working. I tried reving in nuetral, but it did not move. Anyone had this problem?

I was not driving agressively. I was in traffic moving 1 or 2 mph stopped at a stop light and it stopped working. I then started to drive and when I shifted to 3rd gear the needle statrted to work again. It has not happen since. That is a bout 2 weeks ago.

 

This is a known problem with the roadster tack needle with sun behind hitting the tach.

 

i had my car door open for a few hours and my tach was right in the sun. it did the same thing. i put a towel over it for about 15 minutes and it started working again...
