Default Clutch/Flywheel Combo for TN kit

Im looking for a nice clutch/flywheel combo kit to go with my TN kit. I am looking for something that has just a little stiffer pedal feel, smooth engagement, and something that lowers the engagement point a little closer to the floor. Some of the clutches I am looking at are the JWT, ACT, RPS, and Spec. From what I have read on here, most like the JWT, but have also heard positive things about most of all the other clutch kits available. If possible, could someone with experience with these clutches comment on how the pedal feel and drivability of these are.

I have the ACT street disc and JWT flywheel. I have also driven the JWT clutch/flywheel combo and the ACT street/Prolite Flywheel combo. My favorite one to date was the ACT clutch/Prolite flywheel combo. Least amount of noise. All had the same engagement style and all of them had the engagement a little lower then my stock one was.... Power and noise wise the all ACT setup was my favorite..

the ACT combo is the nicest driving of the "upgrade" clutches I've yet to drive...and I've driven them all at this point. Plus, it holds gobs of torque!

Z1, could you possibly give a short description of the pedal/engagement feel on the clutches that you have driven. I will be doing alot of drifting, so I want something that is easy to slip, but can also grab a bit harder than stock...but I dont want it to be too harsh. I drove my friends S2000, S/c, and ACT clutch today. It felt nice, but a bit "on/off" feeling.

All of them provided slightly stiffer than stock pedal feel, but engagement is what set them apart to me. The JWT engagement seemed ok, NISMO I was not fond of at all (too grabby, as it's a puck style disk), ACT seemed to be the smoothest overall, but was essentially very close to JWT. The Tilton was horrendous to drive IMHO - others say they are not that bad, but YMMV

From there it's been the twin disks, which are all substantially grabbier than stock, but not difficult to drive once you get used to them.

I love my JWT clutch/fw combo. Hasnt slipped yet, and I recently flogged it at a Z track day doing 2nd gear burnouts, powershfiting it and launching over 5000rpms, never 1X did it slip, even after many back to back runs.

Me ragging my car and especially my clutch/fw---> http://videos.streetfire.net/video/7...844ca49729.htm

Nice video Alberto! Hopefully my BOV will sound like that when I get my TN kit installed. How do you like your JIC exhaust? I was thinking about getting a single, but I really want to see how my HKS TD Ti turns out with the TN kit. I just hope a reverse y pipe isnt going to complicate the piping or increase any restrictions...

Thanks for the comments Z1. Have you tried a the Spec clutch/fly? I was told that the Spec was better than the ACT as far as engagement..but then again, mods like these are mostly personal preference. I just wish I had the opportunity to drive on different setups like you
