Default Changing Differential Fluild - additive

I will be changing my differential fluid soon. Going to use Mobil 1 75-90

is there a special additive i need to add as well?

No. Use differential oil stated in the manual.

You generally only need additives (friction modifiers) on clutch type LSD's. The stock viscous diff does not require anything beyond the correct oil. Having said that, get some Royal Purple, Redline, Mobil 1 or Amsoil and you're good to go.

i'm using mobil 1 in with my cusco and no problems/noise

How much fluid is needed to change for a 6MT Non-LSD.

What type should I get specifically?

drain, and then pump/fill until it leaks.. thats usually what it is.

with my cusco RS lsd, i use a little less than two of the small bottles of mobil1 75w-90.. which i think is less than two quarts
